Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry is seeking a General Liability Defense/Coverage Associate with 5 - 10 years of New Jersey state and federal court experience in trucking, premises, construction, and professional liability defense litigation and/or coverage for its Red Bank, New Jersey office.

The ideal candidate must be an active member in good standing of the New Jersey bar, and have demonstrated litigation/coverage experience, including independent case management, taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and attending mediations and case management conferences/court hearings.

The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter, with excellent writing and analytical abilities, who can manage tasks and deadlines independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status.

Insurance Coverage Associate | Chicago, IL

Traub Lieberman is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate to work in its downtown Chicago office (hybrid). The candidate should have 2-5 years of coverage experience. Additional consideration will be given to candidates experienced with professional liability and D&O policies. The position includes writing coverage opinions and coverage position letters and will include handling coverage litigation nationwide.

The successful candidate possesses exceptional research and writing skills, has a keen attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative, team environment. Our Chicago Coverage Group operates as a strong collective of coverage partners and associates with a focus on teamwork and collegiality. As a member of our team, the attorney will have the benefit of gaining hands-on experience and working closely with partners invested in their professional development and growth.

The office has implemented a mentorship program to foster individual attorney growth. Our Chicago office offers a flexible work environment with remote workdays. The office regularly plans optional social functions to foster team engagement and connectivity.

Job responsibilities include independent case management, conducting depositions and discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, research and analysis, client reporting, time entry, and appearances at case management conferences, mediations and pre-trial settlement conferences.

The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter and able to manage tasks and deadlines independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status. Traub Lieberman provides a collaborative team environment and institutes an active training program to foster professional growth. The fellow attorneys in the office, including partners, have an open door policy and gladly answer questions to support the success of team members.
