Traub Lieberman Partner Craig Rokuson Secures Summary Judgment on Behalf of Carrier

Traub Lieberman Partner Craig Rokuson recently secured a summary judgment ruling on behalf of Traub Lieberman's client, an insurance carrier, under a Specified Operations Limitation, holding that the carrier had no duty to defend or indemnity any party in an underlying action. The underlying accident occurred during a delivery of cinder blocks to the roof of the subject premises. The Designated Operations Limitation limited coverage under the subject policy to dry wall installation, interior painting, interior carpentry, tile stone, marble, mosaic, or terrazzo work. Traub Lieberman argued, and the court agreed, that the delivery of cinder blocks and the insured's covered work was far too attenuated for the loss to be covered.
