Lisa Shrewsberry is Co-Chair of the firm and the managing partner of the New York office. She is also a seasoned litigator and consummate professional who focuses her practice on protecting the reputations and livelihoods of other professionals who find themselves facing career-threatening civil lawsuits or disciplinary actions. She understands the importance of resolving matters quickly and economically, providing clear, timely communication, and listening to as well as addressing her clients concerns.
Practicing in the firm’s professional liability, employment practices liability, and directors and officers liability areas, Lisa has represented lawyers, accountants, actuaries, insurance agents, broker/dealers, registered representatives, architects and engineers in all phases of litigation and arbitration. Lisa has also supervised defense counsel on a national basis in litigation and arbitration on behalf of directors and officers liability insurers, life insurance carriers, life insurance agents, securities brokers/dealers and registered representatives, and their errors and omissions carriers. In insurance coverage matters, Lisa’s practice includes policy drafting and policy interpretation as well as coverage and bad faith litigation.
Lisa served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School for two years, where she taught courses in legal research and analysis, legal writing, oral argument, and drafting litigation documents. After graduating, cum laude, from Central Connecticut State University, Lisa earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
