Gregory R. Bennett is a partner in the firm’s New York and Connecticut offices who believes in the power of preparation. By developing a comprehensive understanding of the facts, issues, and law applicable to a given claim at the earliest stages, Greg crafts strategies equally suited for a negotiated resolution or contentious trial.
Committed to responsiveness and professionalism, Greg has substantial experience litigating in state and federal courts and administrative forums. He handles a wide range of matters as part of the firm’s Employment Practices Group, including defending management against claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, and related areas. Additionally, a significant part of Greg’s practice includes representing attorneys and other professionals in the defense of claims arising from malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and other allegations of misconduct.
Before joining the firm, Greg served as in-house employment counsel for a global IT firm and as a House Counsel attorney for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies where he addressed employment-related matters. He has represented clients in numerous industries, including the fields of education, medical (short- and long-term care facilities), transportation, consumer and industry goods, not-for-profit, legal, security, and hospitality.
A graduate of the University of Hartford, Greg earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he served as Editor-In-Chief of the Quinnipiac Law Review. When he’s not working, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, watching his kids play in their respective sports, skiing, and traveling.
