Jessica’s practice primarily focuses on insurance defense, and she routinely represents insureds in a wide range of liability disputes, including construction defect, personal injury, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, products liability and general commercial matters. She also has extensive experience by routinely acting as monitoring and excess counsel where she provides liability and exposure advice for multimillion–dollar claims.
An experienced litigator and partner in the firm’s Chicago office, Jessica obtains positive resolutions for her clients through a combination of skilled advocacy, early and detailed analysis of the facts and issues, and thorough preparation. Jessica’s insurance defense work includes investigating and defending against the claims made against her clients by handling all phases of litigation from inception through trial.
Prior to joining the firm, Jessica served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen Pantle in the Circuit Court of Cook County, General Chancery Division. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Jessica earned her law degree from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School), where she served as Executive Lead Articles Editor on the John Marshall Law Review and as a Research Assistant for Associate Dean Ralph Ruebner. In this capacity, she supplied research for the Illinois Supreme Court Special Committee on Illinois Evidence, which codified the first set of Illinois Rules of Evidence.
Jessica has been named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star from 2019-2023, a designation given to only 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois each year. When not serving her clients, Jessica enjoys spending her time with family and friends and cheering for Michigan sports and the Chicago Cubs.
